In the event of a severe storm or other emergencies, the closing of Riverdale School will be announced on the AM radio WWOR-710 and WGHT-1500 and television Channel 5 FOX News. Additionally, parents will be notified via the Instant Alert System.
The town siren blasts will indicate the following:
6:45 a.m. - Delayed Opening -- School Begins at 9:30 a.m.--All Students
Pre-K Delayed Opening Schedule: 9:30-11:45, 12:20-2:35
7:15 a.m. - School ClosedDAILY TIME SCHEDULEPlease do not have your child arrive prior to 8:05 a.m. coverage.
DROP OFF PROCEDURES: Enter through Oak Street driveway. Drop off will be just prior to the gymnasium doors. Please have your child(ren) exit the car from the passenger side only. Your cooperation is appreciated. Staff will be on duty.
Early Dismissal--Parent Request: A written note is required from the parent/guardian prior to picking up a child during the school day. A student who leaves school during school hours before regular dismissal due to illness, appointments, or any other reason, must be met in the school office or the nurse's room so that the parent or designee may sign the student out.
No student may leave the school property on their own accord from the time he/she arrives in the morning until the appointed departure time.
EARLY DISMISSAL DAYS: One session days conclude for students at 12:40 p.m. NO LUNCH/Recess on Early Dismissal Days.
