Welcome to Riverdale Public School! Our school is home to approximately 340 students in grades Pre-K through 8. We have a tight knit community where parents, local organizations, and our town government work collaboratively to provide the best possible education for our students.
If you examine our logo, you will see student responsibility, being self-disciplined, and achieving academic success are the goals for all students. We strive to achieve these goals, through the delivery of instruction based on the Common Core Standards and fostering positive student behavior through our character education programming. Our experienced teaching staff deliver instruction with the above goals in mind.
There are also many extra-curricular activities available for our students. We offer basketball and softball for our female students and basketball and baseball for our male students in grades 5-8. There are also opportunities for our musically inclined students to demonstrate their talent in chorus, band, jazz ensemble, and performance troupe. Clubs include student council, the yearbook committee, and the National Junior Honor Society (NJHS). Encourage your children to get involved and showcase their talent!
I am personally honored to be the principal of the Riverdale Public School. Together, we will continue to meet and exceed the expectations we have for our students. If you have any questions, please do not hesitate to contact me at firstname.lastname@example.org. We look forward to an exceptional 2016-17 school year!
