HI, I'M MRS. D'ANNA!
I am the school counselor at Riverdale Public School. My main responsibility is to advocate and support all students academically, socially, and emotionally.
Prior to becoming a school counselor, I served as an elementary school teacher for 8 years. I am a graduate of Montclair State University, and received my Master’s Degree in School Counseling from New Jersey City University.
I am available to provide short term one-on-one counseling support to all students. I am also available to provide group counseling sessions. Students may self-refer or be referred to me by teachers/staff and/or parents.
I believe all students possess dignity and value and should be treated with respect. Furthermore, all students have the right to a safe, nurturing and encouraging learning environment which supports and enhances student achievement. I hope to promote educational performance, by providing each student with the opportunities to acquire the academic, career, personal and social competencies necessary to achieve quality learning and life-long success in a safe environment.
